Arts Committee

It is the mission of the Arts Committee to promote positive connections between the broader arts community, teaching staff and parents, as well as to create an arts culture at Skinner North where the visual and performing arts are recognized, valued and experienced by all Skinner North Students. The Arts committee provides volunteers to assist the needs of the art and music teachers at Skinner North, builds permanent art displays to beautify the school and brings professional performances and workshops to the school so that all four art forms (visual art, music, theater and dance) can be represented.

Communications Committee

This committee's goal is to create marketing materials, newsletters, and to manage and develop the FoSN website, social channels, and its contents.

Fundraising Committee

This committee's goal is raising funds to supplement and support the Friends of Skinner North's Annual Budget, which may include resources for technology, science, arts, etc.

Service Committee

This committee will build a sense of service within and outside our school, bringing in outside volunteers to improve our school, and also exposing our school community to volunteer service beyond Skinner North.

Social Committee

Starry Night Committee

The Starry Night Committee will plan and execute one of FoSN’s big three fundraisers, Starry Night. Starry Night is FoSN’s adult-only, ticketed event designed to strengthen our community and raise money for professional development, curriculum, field trips, technology, facility improvements, and classroom supplies to help our children reach for the stars!

Spirit Wear/Merchandise Coordinator

Go Skinner North Dragons! As the Spirit Wear/Merchandise Coordinator you will be the direct liaison to our vendors and purchase our school spirit gear like clothing, car magnets, etc. You will connect with the school admin and decide which events to sell merchandise at and work with student and parent volunteers to help sell merchandise at these events as well. Throughout the year, you will keep inventory of all items to plan accordingly for future purchases/events. Get creative! We encourage you to share your ideas and designs for our future gear.
