How Can I Donate?

  • Donate via Zelle (no fees!) – Use FosnFundraising@gmail.com. Please write “Friends of Skinner North Donation” and your email address in the memo section. You can access Zelle through your regular online banking app or website. Click here to see if your bank participates. If your bank is not listed or you prefer to use a debit card, you can also pay using the Zelle app.

  • Donate via Credit Card/PayPal – You can donate in any amount using your bank or credit card using PayPal. You can also set up a recurring donation. Just click the gold donate button or one of the donation boxes below!

 

Please note that a 2.9% PayPal fee will be added to all credit card transactions. We are working hard to ensure that we can provide our school with as close to 100% of the proceeds as possible. Thank you for understanding.

  • Donate via Check – Checks should be made to Friends of Skinner North. Envelopes can be returned to your child’s homeroom teacher, the fundraising milk crate in the office, or mailed to: Friends of Skinner North, 640 W. Scott St, Chicago, IL 60610.

 

  • Employer Match - Thousands of organizations nationwide "match" or even multiply their employees' donations to qualified charities, such as Friends of Skinner North. Please check with your employer and let us know how FoSN can help! Usually, FoSN just has to complete and submit a simple form for your employer and your donation is matched.

2019-20 FoSN donations have already provided Skinner North with:

  • iPad resources and charging stations

  • Laser printers

  • Laminator

  • Scoreboard for the gymnasium

  • Music curriculum

  • Classroom and art supplies

  • Student and teacher subscriptions

  • 32 books supporting growth mindset and #beYouNique curriculum

  • Teacher professional development and workshops

  • Wellness initiatives

  • International Night and Art Fair

How Does FoSN Help?

A number of facilities improvements are currently being considered, including:

  • Upgrade acoustics, lighting, and AV equipment in the auditorium to enhance student theater productions, music performances, school-wide advisory meetings, organization meetings, and seminars. Full painting project in auditorium has recently been completed!

  • Addition of an overhang at the rear of the school to greatly enhance the dismissal process

  • Telecommunications and technology upgrades to the library and multi-use/Parent Room, which will expand outreach to the school community

Projects relating to the maintenance and improvement of physical CPS buildings (interior and exterior) generally require full coordination with CPS Facilities Management, which may delay or impede desired projects. We ask for your patience while we work through necessary CPS protocol. Please join a FoSN meeting or email fosnpresident@gmail.com for all project updates.
