Why We Do It
Community, Fun and Wellness
Students strive for their personal best as they walk, run and have fun with a fitness challenge, cheered on by our teachers, volunteers and family members. Every student who signs up will receive a SN themed prize and all students receive a Walk-A-Thon t-shirt. Rain or shine, the Walk-A-Thon & Fitness Challenge takes place on the Stanton Park fields and grounds immediately behind and to the west of Skinner North. All donations are greatly appreciated, but student participation is most important!
The Walk-A-Thon & Fitness Challenge is the first of three fundraisers that help fund school expenses not covered by the CPS budget; these fundraisers provide services, programs and capital improvements that enrich our students’ school experience (the other two fundraisers are Bridge the Gap and Starry Night).
