Arts Updates

January 17, 2015

Thank you so very much for bringing your recyclables to school instead of the landfill. Our students have been able to transform them into beautiful art pieces. We are in need of cereal boxes, so think of us, when you’re having breakfast. You will find marked collection containers in the parent room, should you be interested in dropping cereal boxes off at school.

Is home improvement on your New Year’s resolution list?! If so, think of us! We are looking for paint swatches of all colors and sizes and we will have a container ready for you in the parent room!

Thank you for all your contributions!

Our SNArts committee meeting is rescheduled to Friday, January 23rd @ 8:30am in the parent room.

We will be re-capping 2014 and discussing our upcoming Art/Music events and projects for the rest of the school year.

We hope you can join us!

2015 starts off with some great cultural events in Chicago and here are some events that Skinner Families are attending this month:

The Festival features public performances across the city, a symposium sponsored by the University of Chicago and hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and workshops leading up to and during the Festival. For those of you whose imaginations are curious and whose hearts are young, we hope you can join us. And for those of you who have yet to see a contemporary puppet show, we can guarantee it will be like nothing you have ever seen before.
